GLOUCESTER, MA – This steep and overgrown hillside began as a challenge but was crafted into a stunning pool garden that utilized its planting and elevated position to fully inform its sense of space. Nestled into the hillside with granite retaining walls, the borrowed view of the adjacent canopy helps define the garden room. The pool was designed to have a built-in sun shelf for lounging in the shallow water and the bluestone terrace provides ample space to entertain guests.
