BEVERLY FARMS COURTYARD – This project came to us immediately following heavy construction and renovation of the home. The soil was badly compacted by contractor trucks under a canopy of large and handsome oaks. We started by carefully loosening and aerating the soil under the trees, and replenishing the soil with excellent quality composted loam. The client wanted a serene sanctuary on a fairly busy street, with a fence design that allowed passersby just a small peek at the oasis behind. We created a courtyard effect using circular brick pattern and granite step. At the center is a brick and pebble detail, and flowering trees, shrubs, and ground covers have created a cool, welcoming entry sequence.
